After Carmina Villaroel and Patrick Garcia who recently returned to ABS-CBN, another Kapuso star switched network. This time, a homegrown Kapuso actress transferred!

GMA-7's one of the precious talents Ms. Iza Calzado officially signed an exclusive three-year contract with ABS-CBN. The contract signing took place on Tuesday afternoon, January 24, 2012 in the presence of the network's executives including the president Ms. Charo Santos-Concio.

Iza was very happy to become an officially part of the Kapamilya team. She expressed that after taking part in the Star Cinema movie "Milan," one day she wants to work again in the network. And this is now her dream which comes true!

Iza even said that she wants to work with the Kapamilya actors namely Piolo Pascual, John Lloyd Cruz, Jericho Rosales, and Gerald Anderson. For the female stars, she wants to be with Bea Alonzo, Angelica Panganiban, and Judy Ann Santos!

According to her, it's hard to decide to switch network knowing that she already been working with GMA-7 for 10 years! But she needs to grow, to evolve, and to learn new skills! 'Oka2kat' Returns on TV This Coming February!

The hit 90's horror mini-series or paranormal TV series of ABS-CBN is coming back on Primetime this coming February. This month of the heart, get ready to be frightened by the return of "Oka2kat!"

"Oka2kat" or previously written as "Okatokat" ran on the Kapamilya network from 1997 to 2002. This is a weekly horror-themed program which previously aired every Tuesday night. "Okatokat" is an inverted word which means "Takot Ako!" On the remake, you may notice that it is now written as "Oka2kat" wherein "to" is replaced by the number "2' to denote that this is the second or new version.

On the original version, it stars Ms. Agot Isidro, Ricky Davao, Jericho Rosales, Rica Peralejo, Joy Viado, Angelika Dela Cruz, Cherry Pie Picache, Baron Geisler, and Carmina Villaroel!

In 2002, the said TV program stepped on its second season. The original cast was then replaced by the former kids led by Shaina Magdayao and Alwyn Uytingco but Agot and Ricky were still part of the main cast.

Now in the remake, the new "Oka2kat" stars Kapamilya's new breed of future stars like Makisig Morales, Paul Salas, Sue Ann Ramirez, Jane Oineza and Joshua Colet.

'Walang Hanggan' Pilot Episode Grabs a Winning 32.1% Nationwide TV Rating!

A great battle of Primetime premiere episodes took place last Monday, January 16, 2012 as two of the TV series offerings from both Kapamilya and Kapuso station started. ABS-CBN's "Walang Hanggan" and GMA-7's "Legacy" pitted one another!

Aside from the story, viewers were also curious to know which between these two teleseryes won in the TV rating race! "Walang Hanggan" triumphed over "Legacy" in Mega Manila defeating the newly Telebabad soap though it only placed second to "Munting Heredera."

In nationwide TV rating, "Walang Hanggan" is a big winner! It was the No. 1 most-watched Primetime TV series in the whole country on the said day as it garnered a 32.1% rating! "Legacy" on the other hand lose on the battle as it only got a 16.8% rating!

"Walang Hanggan" is now on its fourth pilot episode! And as of the story of it progresses, expect a higher TV ratings on the next succeeding days!

Carmina Villaroel Returns to Kapamilya!

It's official! Ms. Carmina Villaroel already signed a contract with the Kapamilya network! The contract signing took place just this Monday, January 16, 2012 in ABS-CBN compound!

Carmina is set to star in the upcoming teleserye "You're Always in My Heart" with Kathryn Bernardo, Daniel Padilla, Khalil Ramos, and Enrique Gil. And she will also replace KC Concepcion in the Sunday's showbiz-oriented talk show "The Buzz!" Before it was reported that Mina is part of the robot-serye "E-Boy" together with former Kapuso turning Kapamilya Ariel Rivera. But it seems that she is given a new TV series!

Carmina started her showbiz career in ABS-CBN years ago as a regular cast of the sitcom "Palibhasa Lalake." Later on, she starred in other more Kapamilya TV series like "Okatokat," "Esperanza," and "Recuerdo De Amor." She even hosted the morning talk show "Morning Girls" before transferring to GMA-7.

In Kapuso, Carmina was given various TV projects including the talk show "Sis," the reality show "Day-Off" in Q11, the sitcom "Pepito Manoloto," and teleseryes like "Mulawin," "The Last Prince," and "Pahiram Ng Isang Ina" to name a few!

Two big TV series from two rival networks made a grand premiere last Monday, January 16, 2012. These are "Walang Hanggan" of the Kapamilya station and "Legacy" from Kapuso.

The two teleseryes pitted one another as they have the same timeslot! And of course, viewers were excited to know who between these two won the fight!

And the winner is..."Walang Hanggan!" This Kapamilya drama series grabbed victory in Mega Manila's TV rating game knowing the fact that AGB-Mega Manila rating always favors Kapuso.

Janelle Manahan already confirmed in her confrontational interview with Boy Abunda in "The Bottomline" that she and slain boyfriend Ram Revilla did a couple of sex videos! After her interview in this TV program, different news reported that 9 more sex videos of the couple were about to spread!

Early this week, many confirmed that a second sex video of Ramgen and Janelle is already circulating in the mobile phones of many people. The said second video shows Ram and Janelle doing it from bathroom to bedroom but with a poor quality compared with the first one!

One in late December and another one early this week, so are we expecting for 8 more sex videos of Ramgen and Janelle to spread some other days?!

Janelle said that the videos were already deleted by the two of them when the video scandal of Hayden Kho erupted in May of 2009. The videos, however, were retrieved by the alleged perpetrators from the computer's hard-drive.

After the leak of the first sex video of the slain Ramgem Revilla and his girlfriend Janelle Manahan on the internet early this year, another sex video of these hot couple is said spreading on the world wide web!

Janelle already confirmed on her interview with Boy Abunda on "The Bottomline" that she and her slain boyfriend Ram Revilla did a couple of sex videos! And this second video is now being shared with many people in their mobile phones!

The main cast members namely Coco Martin, Julia Montes, Joem Bascon, Paulo Avelino, Melissa Ricks, Rita Avila, Richard Gomez, Dawn Zulueta, and the three royalties of Philippine Cinema namely Ms. Helen Gamboa, Mr. Eddie Gutierrez, and Ms. Susan Roces graced the said event. Directors and script writer of the said teleserye namely Trina Dayrit and Jerry Lopez Sineneng joined them.

The event was opened by the special performance of the singers behind the soundtrack of the said soap. Angeline Quinto, Bugoy Drilon, Liezel Garcia, and Mr. Pure Energy now termed as the 'King of the Teleserye Theme,' Gary Valenciano serenade the audience with the romantic and inspiring songs of the teleserye. Gary V. made his own rendition of the classic OPM hit "Hanggan Sa Dulo ng Walang Hanggan" which is used as the main OST of the TV series. His live performance singing the said theme captured the attention of the crowd! Even Ms. Dawn Zulueta gave a standing ovation for Gary!

After the live performance and introduction of the characters, the stars of the said teleserye proactively answered the questions thrown to them by the press.

Former love team Dawn and Richard were asked about their reunion tandem in the show knowing that they had a romantic relationship in the past. Both of them answerd that they were now working professionally. Their respective partners were even close with them.

Mr. Eddie Gutierrez playing Goma's father in the soap shared about his previous remarkable movies with the two queens Helen and Susan. He said that his most memorable movie with Helen was "Langingit Ng Pitong Whistle Bomb" while with Susan was "Inday Waray." The audience laughed out loud afterwards!

The two queens of Pinoy movie Helen and Susan revealed that this teleserye is their first ever teamup. They are playing rival siblings in the story. About her role as kontrabida, Helen told the press that: "kailangan pang itaas ang kilay ko through make-up para magmukhang mataray" since in real life, "hindi sya makabasag-pinggan!" They even gave a glimpse about their 'sampalan' scenes which made the people excited!

Meanwhile the newest love team Coco and Julia honestly responsed to the question of the press. Julia was being compared to both the teleserye stars Claudine Barretto and Bea Alonzo. When asked to whom she fitted closer, she said to Bea since they already worked together in the previous projects.

Coco teased the audience that a brand new Coco Martin will be seen in this teleserye. His role here is very much different from the previous characters he already portrayed! If his characters before were good turning bad, this time, we can see his romantic side!

On the other hand, the members of the third generation namely Joem, Paulo, and Melissa shared their excitement in working together with the legendary names in Philippine showbiz. According to them, it's a big pressure and a dream come true to belong in a one big powerhouse teleserye like this!

Walgreens and Express Script join hand in giving patients good feelings. Let me tell you a quick glimpse on how these two merged! For the past year, Walgreens has negotiated with Express Scripts for a new contract to continue as part of its pharmacy provider network. Those negotiations were unsuccessful, and the contract expired on Dec. 31. As a result, Walgreens is no longer part of Express Scripts’ pharmacy provider network as of Jan. 1, 2012. This includes all Walgreens pharmacies nationwide and Duane Reade pharmacies in the New York City area.

This situation of forcing pharmacy patients to go elsewhere to use their in-network pharmacy benefits was unnecessary. Express Scripts’ actions are causing disruption with no significant benefit to patients or their health plan. Patients covered by an Express Scripts plan now find themselves not only having to change their pharmacists, but many are having to drive farther to get prescriptions filled at pharmacies with less convenient hours for their hectic schedules. Walgreens offers more 24-hour and drive-thru pharmacies than any other pharmacy in the country.

And patients are not seeing their costs go down in exchange for the increased hassle they’re being subject to. It’s all pain with no gain.

During negotiations, Walgreens offered to hold rates for a new contract flat and did not seek an increase in rates. The response from Express Scripts was to insist on being able to unilaterally define contract terms, such as what does and does not constitute a brand and generic drug. Express Scripts also proposed to slash Walgreens reimbursement rates to levels below the industry average cost to provide each prescription. Until finally, these two once more joined hands!

xpress Scripts acts as a middleman between pharmacies providing the health care service and employers and health plans who pay for the medications. Because Express Scripts is the middleman, most payers don’t see the rates Express Scripts pays to Walgreens. They only know what they pay Express Scripts. When they do see what Walgreens is paid, many health plans and employers are making decisions to continue to ensure access to Walgreens because they find our prices to be competitive and believe that we can lower overall health care costs.

Express Scripts continues to gain financially from its position as a middleman as its profits have grown at a rate more than two times the average of peers in health care. Historically brokers in a marketplace take a percentage of the cost of a product for putting the buyer and seller in contact. In Express Scripts’ case, the broker is growing profits faster than the provider of the service. When the middleman is more profitable than the providers, the relationship is out of balance.

Beyond the contract issues, this issue between Express Scripts and Walgreens is really about the value of your local community pharmacy. Express Scripts wants customers to use their own mail order pharmacy business instead of your community pharmacy whenever possible. This could threaten all community drugstores in your area. Remember, community pharmacies are a valuable presence in your neighborhood when you need a pain medication as you leave the emergency room at 2 a.m., or need a flu shot and haven’t been able to get to the doctor’s office. Community pharmacies are often the first point of entry for many people into the health care system, and the value they provide by lowering overall health care costs should be recognized by Express Scripts.

Then how is Walgreens doing to help ease the customer's burden?! Well, they are offering a special discount on annual membership for its Prescription Savings Club. The Walgreens Prescription Savings Club give different offer discounts. For $10 a year, a family membership covers everyone in your immediate family, including a spouse, dependents 22 and younger and pets. Individuals may join for $5. Join and receive discount prices on your prescriptions.

What more Walgreens give?! Other benefits include savings on more than 8,000 brand-name and all generic medications. Another thing is discounts on flu shots, pet prescriptions, nebulizers and diabetic supplies. And of course, bonuses when you purchase Walgreens brand products and photofinishing services!

The hottest football siblings Phil and James Younghusband will be featured in TV5's special documentary program, "Anggulo!"

American Idol David Archuleta is Now a Kapatid and Will Do a TV Series in TV5!

The 2009 American Idol Runner-Up David Archuleta is now the newest Kapatid member! It was officially announced by TV5 through its website that this 21-year old charming singer-songwriter will do a Primetime TV series in their network!

David is scheduled to arrive in Manila this coming January 13, 2012 to start his TV series with the network. And he will be paired to the Kapatid homegrown talents namely Jasmin Curtis Smith and Eula Caballero!

It seems that the local networks were now acquiring international talents. We may recall that last year, it was the Thai heartthrob Mario Maurer who signed a contract with the Kapamilya network for his movie with Erich Gonzales. Now, it's the American Idol David Archuleta who joins the Kapatid network for a TV series!

This is another exciting trend in the Philippine showbiz. Hope that the entry of these international stars will boost the business!

Talking about David, he is a runner-up of the 8TH Edition of American Idol wherein David Cook was hailed as the winner! "Heartstrings" is the newest daytime Koreanovela offering of the Kapamilya network! Everybody is now getting hook over it! The characters of Jung Yong Hwa and Park Shin Hye were now well-loved by many.

Aside from the light-romantic story, another thing which makes this Koreanovela an everybody's favorite is its theme song.

Three OSTs were used in this Korean drama. Here are "To Love Me" by Park Shin Hye, "Because I Miss You" by Jung Yong Hwa, and "You Have a Crush on Me" also sung by Jung Yong Hwa.
