One of the much awaited event next week is the concert of the Irish boyband Westlife! And the Star Magic talent Young JV is chosen to open the show!Young JV, whose real name is JV Kapunan, said there are two other Filipino acts who will open the show for Westlife.
"Siyempre super honored at saka excited na magpe-perform [ako for] Westlife. Parang they are one of the biggest bands in the world," the young artist shared in an interview by ABS-CBN.
The said concert will be held this coming Thursday, September 29, 2011 at the Araneta Coliseum in Cubao, Quezon City.Westlife is the hottest and most popular band of late 90's and early 2000's! They are the group who made the hit songs "Swear It Again," "Flying Without Wings," "If I Let You Go," "My Love," "Queen of My Heart," "When You're Looking Like That", and "Unbreakable" to name a few.
The group even revived the songs "Uptown Girl," "More Than Words," and "Seasons of the Sun" which were also became a huge hit!
Young JV on the other hand is part of A-Pop, a boy group featured in ABS-CBN's hit Sunday afternoon musical variety show "ASAP Rocks."
Young JV even bagged the Best New Male Recording Artist award at the 23rd Awit Awards for his song "That Girl" last year. He is now preparing for his second album!
