John Lloyd Cruz is once again in the limelight! He is now one of the characters in the top-rating fantasy TV series "Imotal" pairing him with Ms. Angel Locsin and at the same time he has another box-office movie with Ms. Toni Gonzaga calle "My Amnesia Girl"!But what he is really with Mr. JLC which made him one of the bankable leading man today?! You may noticed that almost all of his TV series were successful and top-rating. And all of his movies were all blockbusters even though he has paired with different leading ladies!
So for our today's spotlight, let's focus our camera with John Lloyd's success in terms of movies and TV series!
John Loyd Cruz was first teamed up with Ms. Kaye Abad in the Sunday afternoon TV series "Tabing Ilog" wherein he played the character of Rovic. If I'm not mistaken, it ran on TV from 1999 to 2001!
Lloydie was given a launching TV series in 2002 via the hit "Kaytagal Kang Hinintay" which also marked the rise of their love team with Ms. Bea Alonzo. He played here the character of Atty. Yuri Orbida.
Actually it was first planned to teamed JLC with Rica Peralejo but their chemistry with Bea was discovered therefore these two persons were paired! It was such indeed a very successful TV series! Remember "Red Butterfly"?! =)Lloydie and Bea was once again paired in their next TV series called "It Might Be You" in 2003. JLC portrayed the role of Earl Lawrence Trinidad in this another successful soap!
In 2005 JLC played the character of Oliver in another hit "Ikaw Ang Lahat Sa Akin" with of course Bea Alonzo and with Diether Ocampo, Angelica Dela Cruz, and Ms. Claudine Barretto! It is followed by the Book 1 and Book 2 of "Maging Sino Ka Man" in 2006 and 2007 wherein John Lloyd and Bea were joined by Anne Curtis and Sam Milby in Book 1 and with Toni Gonzaga, Angelica Panganiban, and Derek Ramsey in Book 2. JLC was known as Eli in these two successful "Maging Sino Ka Man" TV series.
And in 2008, the last TV series tandem of Bea and Lloydie took place via the Philippine adaptation of "I Love Betty La Fea" wherein Bea portrayed Betty while JLC played Armando!
And now in 2010, John Lloyd is well-known as Matteo, the vampire and the love interest of the she-wolf Lia in the phenomenal hit werewolf-vampire fantasy TV series "Imortal"! This is their very first team up with Ms. Angel Locsin! And this is the very first TV series of Lloydie wherein he is not paired with Bea Alonzo! In terms of movies, John Lloyd has a variety of box-office movies with Bea Alonzo. Some of these were "My First Romance", "All About Love", "Close To You", "One More Chance", and "Miss You Like Crazy"! He was even paired with other leading ladies like Ms. Claudine Barretto in "Dubai", Ms. Sarah Geronimo in "A Very Special Love" and "You Changed My Life" and in the latest "My Amnesia Girl" with Ms. Toni Gonzaga!
